I am not a native of Lubbock, nor even of Texas. I was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana, spent a couple of years living in Glasgow, Scotland, and then landed in Lubbock where I've been ever since. Have a look!

Now that the warmer temperatures have arrived, most of our geese have headed back north.

This is a nice photo minus the traditional "V" formation that I used to see when I was a child. Now, where I live in Ohio, there are so many Canadian Geese living here that we have them all winter. None leave.

First time here for me.

Yes, I've wondered a bit if they were just warming up for the "V"-- perhaps they were deciding who would be in front?
