This was a taboo action just a few weeks ago; the city was under a watering ban for most of the month of June. The ban was lifted in stages, and was finally rescinded throughout the city on July 4.
I am not a native of Lubbock, nor even of Texas. I was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana, spent a couple of years living in Glasgow, Scotland, and then landed in Lubbock where I've been ever since. Have a look!

Ahh, looks so cool. You have captured a snippet of summer!
Nice lighting. Is it evening or morning?
I like your photo. I wish we had some rain. It is dry here and has been for almost 3 months.
I water but carry most of it trying to keep some flowers alive.

It was evening; the sun was just about to set. I was out cycling so I was trying to get home because I forgot my headlight!
We have had a remarkably wet year, it is really unbelievable. I have some half-dead plants on the patio myself!
