I am not a native of Lubbock, nor even of Texas. I was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana, spent a couple of years living in Glasgow, Scotland, and then landed in Lubbock where I've been ever since. Have a look!

USPS, at your service

I was hoping for something more unusual than this, but alas, did not find anything.

This theme was very difficult ... Having grown up in the Texas Panhandle your photos always remind me of home ... My first idea was to take something which was a play on the phrase "the check is in the mail".

Aww, that's very nice! I'm glad I can remind you of home a bit. :) I didn't even think of playing on anything-- that's a good idea!

At least it is unusual for me! Spanish mail boxs are yellow and have nothing in common with yours! :)

I like it. Good to see R2D2 didn't get here first. Yup, good to see a normal mailbox.

It is taking me a while to get around all of the posts this theme day as I'm in Normandy...and now I'm not sure if my previous comment is still in moderation mode..but I do love this shot. It looks like a typical American street in Texas.

Very restful to see a normal, quiet mail box on a quiet, sunshiney street... no R2D2's here.

This is one I recognize.

Well, what I meant was that there are others I have seen that I like better, I just didn't find them again while out looking to photo them! Thank you for all your comments.

I seem to have missed out on R2D2... I'll have to find out what everyone is talking about.

It's a typical mailbox, alright. Nice and simple. :-D Yeah, I don't know where R2D2s are either, haven't seen any in the Bay Area yet.
